Emerson, St. Louis, MO, has introduced the Daniel V707 back pressure control valve with an adjustable spring that doesn’t require diaphragms or pilots. According to the company, these features and others, including a metal-to-metal seat, protected O-rings, and integrated check valve, make the V707 ideal for crude-oil applications, especially Lease Automatic Custody Transfer (LACT) skids.
The manufacturer also estimates that the cost ownership of the V707 will typically be half of that for an equivalent diaphragm valve in the first three years, given the reduction in service hours and needed maintenance.
