According to AMETEK Spectro Scientific, Chelmsford, MA, the recently released FluidScan 1000 Series handheld IR (infrared) analyzer for monitoring lubricant and grease condition includes applications for biodiesel-fuel dilution, fluid integrity, and a water index for grease measurement.
Categorizing the product as its most user-friendly, high-performing FluidScan device yet, the company points to a number of notable upgrades, including a larger screen, faster, more stable onboard electronics and power supply, and an Ethernet port for smooth connectivity. Among other things, the software includes cell messaging updates, new fluid properties, and a new database file format with easy backup and recovery capabilities.
